The HC Classic was the original Hand-cam glove designed for use by Tandem Masters. Due to advancements in design and technology, the HC Pro was developed and is now the dominant style of glove used in the skydiving and extreme sports industries. We have discontinued manufacture of the HC Classic so we can place more focus on the design and production of the latest, most advanced products to suit consumer needs.
These gloves were originally designed by Way Cool for tandem skydiving instructors to enable them to self video tandem skydives. The idea was to offer the customer more choice of video products and to give them the option of video at a more affordable price when the available aircraft seating capacity is limited. Please note that this style of video is a different product and is not intended to replace the conventional outside video person. Some interesting camera shots are achievable with practice and the instant facial and vocal expressions immediately after opening are unique to this style of videography. Since the camera is mounted on the back of the hand and allows unrestricted use of the open palm and fingers, the glove is also being used by BASE jumpers to get spectacular shots. These gloves have also been used by snow boarders, skaters, para gliders and skiers to get a wide variety of action shots.
Way Cool offers two glove styles; the HC Classic and the HC Pro both of which are left hand mounts by default.
Both gloves now incorporate webbing loops to accommodate our HC alti mounting strap. We offer the HC Alti mounting strap for 25% discount if purchased with a HC Glove.
