Power unit - vigil1

The Vigil Power unit has a special reserve power supply which is only ever used to activate the cutter. This Pulsesplus element sets this power supply apart from other AADs on the market as even when the main power supply is very low, the unit retains a high energy burst of reserve power to activate the cutter.

Vigil estimated, as also mentioned in the manual, a life span of 4 years or 700 jumps for the Vigil I. Now after more than 4 years of experience in the field, we are able to confirm that the expected battery life is higher than foreseen.

TheVigil Power Unit will be good for up to 10 years.  As long as the message “Bat Low” or “Bat Rpl” doesn’t appear on screen, you don’t need to change the battery (the manufacturer gives a life span of max. 10 years after which you are obliged to changed it).

Change the battery when “Bat Low” appears.  This is a warning that tells you exactly that the battery is low although the unit will still function for a limited period. (est. 30 jumps)

When “Bat Rpl” appears you must change the battery immediately.
